Social Enterprise Statement

As Anadolu Meraları, we are a social enterprise that strengthens the processes of challenging and adapting to the climate crisis by establishing regenerative systems with regenerative agriculture and holistic management principles. Thanks to these efforts, Anadolu Meraları was included in the international social enterprise network Ashoka Network with selection of Durukan Dudu, co-founder, as a 'fellow' in 2017.

 

Social enterprises are structures whose main purpose is to solve social and ecological problems and engage in economic activities to solve these problems in a sustainable way. We believe that social enterprises are the business models of today and the future, therefore, we declare that we are a social enterprise with our purpose, values, financial structure, operation and focus of social and/or ecological impact by taking part in the Açık Açık Social Enterprise Platform.

Aim

 

This social enterprise was established to find a solution to a social and/or ecological problem. It  aims to maximize its positive social and/or ecological impact on strategy, investment, financing, operation, production, communication processes and decisions. This purpose is clearly stated in the incorporation documents and/or public documents.

Values

This social enterprise;

• Recognizes nature and human rights at all stages from production to distribution and promotion of products and/or services.

• Does not discriminate, verbally or de facto, against any individual or institution based on nationality, race, gender, sexual identity and orientation, religion, age, social status, political orientation or any other non-performance criteria.

• Does not participate in any acts of violence; does not support or glorify violence through its rhetoric, actions and means of communication.

• Does not attempt to obtain any undeserved income, privilege, advantage and similar elements in line with the principles of transparency and accountability while continuing its activities; does not make unethical and unlawful demands from its stakeholders.

• It is open to duplication, cooperation, model and idea sharing for systematic transformation and transformation of the field. 

Financial

This social enterprise;

• More than 49% of profits from product, service and/or share sales are not distributed to shareholders, but are reused to maximize social impact.

 

• It uses financial instruments such as loans, grants, investments to increase its social impact. 

Social Impact

This social enterprise;

 

• Shares the impact plan, shows the effort required to measure its impact.

 

• Shares the outputs showing the impact with the public and relevant stakeholders. 

 Mechanism

This social enterprise;

 

• Observes nature, society and human rights at all stages from the production to distribution and promotion of its products and/or services.

 

• Considering the well-being of its employees with whom it produces its products and/or services, it ensures that they work in a healthy and safe working environment, with a fair wage policy.

 

• It acts within the wage scale of the product and/or service sector it is in.

 

• In line with the values adopted above, it does not engage in promotional and communication activities that mislead the public and lead to excessive consumption.

 

This social enterprise declares that it will immediately notify Açık Açık if there is a change regarding the above items.
